my interpretation of this song: thief enters big cave sytem inside a mountain, with every tunnel he travels he finds greater riches and takes one piece of the treasure he finds at every pile. Than you see the king of the mountain walking around in his halls, finding out that some of his treaury is gone. He then follows the trail and fiths the thief. A big fight follows with the king bashing all around and the thief dodging. It all ends whith the king crushing the thief with his mighty hammer.
