Now a day, when someone claim himself Khampa, he is automatically considered a troubleshooter. As per Lithang Athar, even H.H. the Dalai Lama consider the same. Recently, a young person showed me some people in group and said, 'they are bad Khampas'. This comment made me so bad and very sad too. Therefore, all young Khampa should do something to uplift the image of Khampa as a whole. Thank you.

Lithang Atar La, was one of the very few Tibetans who served his Holiness Dalai Lama and fought for the greater Tibetan cause,when it was impossible to imagine, going against the invading communists soldiers. you are right. we must uplift the image of khampa through community services and nation building. I am from MILI. khampa are usualy tempered but good and true heart. after all we are all Tsampa eater. reagardless of who we are as a regional but we are all Tibetan. we should all united and make tibet a better place to live. if you listen to song from tibet, khampa, utsang and amdo are one common Tibetan. our ancestors who ran through the great plateau of tibet .

i don't know what the truth is. but he seems to be little upset. i heard about his story when he is guiding his Holiness to exile with great bravery. any way, he deserve some respect as a pawo. i know he cause some friction in exile communitites but atleast he did something from his heart to serve Tibet.

Kham2010, From my point of view, Khampas treated lower not because of minority but because of no unity and integerity. If Khampas get united, there won't ne a single person on the earth that will have guts to look at Khampas. If not exagerated, almost all the big monasteries are under Khampas power. Even today, there are more than 10 khampas as candidate for Kalon Tripa. Unfortunately, we fight each other, jealous of each other and hate each other. Our young Khampas should unite first.
