i think that is the best explanation of it lol
finally someone that knows how to do it properly
nice video

@Theroumich Higher impedance reduces the amps output..lower impedance could damage the amp.

@FurreFurre About how much power do you need to make a noticeably loud speaker out of it? Looks like you have a nice home theater receiver behind them lol

@FurreFurre. fine.
an ampli work with 4, 8 16 ...depend of the capacity of the ampli... 30 ..is ok ;)
most of the time it s is 4 or 8
less than that would damage your ampli
i like it anyway...good video.
thx for the answer ..now i know the impedance of a HD :)
PS: i know any Geek experiment should be done on a "nothing to lose mode" :)

@Benzenering1004 Neither fake nor gay.
how many ohms do you read on the coil?
don t you damage the amplifier?

@Theroumich
Hello. I read about 30 Ohm for each harddrive at the ends of the cables. I do not know if it damages the amplifier, but of course you should _never_ use an amplifier you are scare of breaking when doing experiments ;)

How is it exactly producing the sound though? where does the sound come from?
Matzoh09 1 year ago
@Matzoh09
The sound come from the vibrations that the strong magnet and the coil produces. Basically the whole harddrive is vibrating in the frequences the amplifier sends to it, and therefor, producing soundwaves from its vibrations, just like a speaker.

I could do the research to gain knowledge into how speakers work. But I'm telling you, this video is bullshit and I am not gonna waste my time. You however, might want to, with your infinite genius, give me a brief synopsis as to how these speakers work.

@Benzenering1004
Sure, same as a speaker... A coil and a strong magnet, as well as what in english I belive is called a diaphragm. Here, the harddrive have both a coil and a strong magnet, only thing needed to produce a good sound quality is some sort of diaphragm. I am using the table the harddrives are standing on to amplify the sound. Simple as that. As for more knowledge, have a look at Wikipedia for Loudspeaker.
