I believe that it's about "that moment" a broad and general sense. That moment is what moves you in an amazing way. It might be an experience that you perceive as bad, it might be the best moment of you life, but ti's still "that moment" that he's referring to. That pivotal, inspiring, world shaping moment.

Id like to think that the white light people talk about that they see is just a physiological response to the brain shutting down, simply chemicals released by the brain as it dies. Some people might say that this is bleak or a depressing thought. Myself however, it gives me comfort in the thought that this life isn't just a test.
