People like Michio Kaku is what humanity desperately needs. When he used a sheet of paper and folded it. He described the shortest distance between two points. This reminds me of a video called Imagining the 10th Dimension and you'll notice one part that explains the lifestyle of the 2 dimensional "flat lander" that looks like an ant, before folding the newspaper so the flat lander would instantly go from one part of the newspaper to another without crawling.
