@eleftheria5791 Wild boar are not a native species to north america, they were introduced by settlers from Europe. They have no natural predators and are responsible for habitat destruction which causes native species such as deer to have less food to eat. One sow can breed 3-4 times a year having as many as 12 piglets in a litter, so the population must be controlled. Using dogs makes it a much safer process for the hunter and helps track the pig to keep suffering to a minimum if only wounded.
