Tuesday, 10/07/08, Yoshi's, Oakland, CA.

This is part of a solo by Delfeayo Marsalis, Trombone, in the song "What a Wonderful World", made famous by Louis Armstrong. Delfeayo told the audience that the late drummer Elvin Jones told him to play it in his shows, and he whined about it, but Elvin told him to "remember where it came from," so he plays it now. The bassist is David Pulphus, the drummer Jason Marsalis, pianist Victor Atkins, and the tenor player Mark Shim. Although Yoshi's tells us not to film, Delfeayo himself encouraged the audience to film and post it on youtube, but be careful with the flash. Dually noted, man, and thanks for the great show!
