The cult classic from Pocatello, Idaho's public access channel, Pocatello-Vision Channel 12, "It Came From a Test Tube" was a genre-bending sensation, combining elements of detective mysteries, thrillers, B horror movies, satire and humor, musicals, romantic comedies, and science fiction, in the vein of "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes."
Made by students at Pocatello's Highland High School in the summer of 1981, this film was shown every month for several years and was watched by thousands of folks in southeast Idaho each time, becoming a favorite for its unabashed, youthful exuberance and odd humor.
Plus it has a purple slime creature.
