In this first vlogpost, Niklas shows that you can buy cheap old lenses that are really good, and use them on your moderns DSLR camera by using an adapter. It's all easy

  • This is a Helios 85mm f/1.5 lens, version 2 - that is with a M42 mount. I think it's from about 1985. The story goes that it was designed for the space station Mir to be used as an oscilloscope, but they found that if they put an M42 mount on it, it'd fit regular cameras as well. Since I don't know anything about oscilloscopes, I don't know if that's true or not, but good story, and fantastic lens :-)
