@songbirdsmile I think that the dry blade container does a much better job than the wet blade. You can see the vitamix website where they do it easily.
Notice he blends the avo pits mostly on the lower setting, messing around with the speed until the pits pieces settled in the blender...THEN he flicks high on a few times for maybe a second, then he's done. The variable speed feature is not required, but only for convenience--he could have done it on high the whole time. In his Blendtec avo pit video, he did it on high for a long time! And no, I don't sell Vita-Mixes (I should, though!) I'm just saying, make it a fair, honest comparison.
