Some of us get it. A few of our truly good men in office like Ron Paul get it. But the power elite in Wash DC, which is just a two-headed snake pretending to be two different parties (Ds & Rs) think they can bully other people around and get away with it. You're right, it's gonna come home to roost. The sooner the better! I just hope the elitist parasites in our gov't will be arrested, and put on trial for murder, robbery and treason. Some of them should be put on trial for their very lives!

You are certainly right, sir! Have you read Henry Hazlitt's "Economics in One Easy Lesson"? If you're not familiar with it, the title may seems a bit high-schoolish or academic, but don't be fooled -- it is a profound yet easy to understand analysis of economics from the Austrian School. Anyone who really wants to understand right-minded and solid economic theory should read it I'd recomend it to you, if you're not already familiar with the book.

Damn good points. People are too quick to base their world view on the news networks and far too slow to base it on actual facts. Most of what any leader wants to do can be found in history somewhere and you can tell from the way it worked then how it will work out today.

How do these thieves, liars and reprobates manage to weasel their way into high public office and then stay there for decades? Maybe, if people would turn of their damn TV and read books on history and economics and become versed in the logical - political thinking fallacies used, we might be able to stop a good number of these bums at the gate.
