  • While I agree with your review and I don't disagree with your opinions as presented in this video, I found this difficult to watch primarily because of your terrible, terrible attempt to do a British accent. You also stuttered a lot, and that was distracting. "Why the Hell did they make Bakura British?" is a funny thing to say in a faked British accent...

  • Faked british accent?! Lol I wasn't putting on an accent, that's how I normally talk strange as it may seem, but thanks for the comment and your right I was stuttering alot in this video wasn't I? =)

  • @JZAtemu Ehh, I disagree, I think the dubs for GX and 5Ds are still good.

  • In one of the episodes 4kids show a clip of Tristan and joey taking his milenium puzzle from season 0, but they never dub season 0 lol

  • People have this idea that english people speak really posh like that like macorah does n like luna off sailor moon, but most of us dont :L tbh i just speak like a normal person

  • They give characters accents to fit with the different kinds of honorifics used in Japan. Jonochi/Joey used rather rude ones so he became a New Yorker. Bakura used polite ones so he became british. Evil Bakura used ones emphesising himself so he also became british.

  • awesome marik voice

  • The reason the cards are edited is because if they were to actually translate all of the information on the card, it would look like the actual product. Here in the US, the TV stations FCC considers it to be a commercial rather than a children's TV show.

  • I think Bakura's British becaues in the original Japanese, he was very polite. And of course the British are stereotypically polite. Jounouchi talked like a tough guy, so Joey came from Brooklyn. More edits you didn't catch - there's quite a lot of physical fights in the original, but oh no, can't have that! They also removed a TON of religious symbolism (rocks instead of crosses, badly-drawn star instead of a hexagram). And don't get me started on the name changes!
