A new feature, introduced by Apple in iOS 5, allows the ability to stream apps and content from your Apple device to a television using Apple TV. And that introduces some interesting new possibilities for Ignition. With this feature, you can share exactly what's on your iPad 2 or iPhone 4S with everyone in your next meeting with just a few clicks. Stream your desktop -- web pages, spreadsheets, photos, etc.

Here's how we did it:

1. Make sure you have an iPad 2 or iPhone 4S running iOS 5.
2. Ensure your Apple TV and iPad 2 are connected to the same WiFi network.
3. Double-tap the home button on your iPad, slide to the right, and press the "AirPlay" button.
4. Use Ignition to access your computer or broadcast your favorite apps for a truly unique meeting experience.

  • It's a small piece of hardware, picture a square hockey puck, connected to your local network via Ethernet or Wifi and to your TV via HDMI.

  • Apple TV is a device (hardware) or a software?
