Poor thing . .she is so lucky to have gotten out of there!! She was in a cult that keeps you by a spirit of fear! I experienced that once but was able to get out before it took over my young life. Thank God.

What they aren't telling you is Jim Jones was a Marxist. This was a suicide pact as part of a Marxist revolution, very similar to what is going on in the US today. Be aware and beware. Jim Jones sent $7 million dollars to the Soviet Union before his death, via three carriers. They were Marxist extremists. See my favorites for latest video footage in their own words.

Actually, she's Debbie who escaped Jones Town months before the incident. Basically, she and other defectors caught congressmen's attention in which to why he inquired about the condition in Jonestown.

@greatbydesign33 Their fear wasn't exactly false. It wasn't as simple to defect when you would have to sacrifice your family and life, plus you had the very real threat of being killed.

This is the REAL lesson people - SHE DID NOT SPEAK UP. She allowed FEAR to rule. Hundreds of those people died because they chose to listen to FEAR instead of their own individual gut intuition that something was wrong.
