  • It works if you don't mind being mean and cruel to the baby, ignoring its cries, not letting it nurse to sleep, and waking it up when it's asleep.

There's also a high rate of breastfeeding failure beyond the early weeks. But, if watching the clock all day and uninterrupted sleep are what matters most in life, enjoy!

  • @augiemusky you bet! my baby is much happier b/c i am well rested and happy, and can perform my duty as a mother without being a zombie. thanks for your opinion though...

  • can I do this for a 1 month old?

  • @Fucknshit08 i really recommend getting the book "babywise" ... it has the normal 1 month old routine in it. the more you go towards that routine, the sooner they will sleep through the night :o)

  • Hi Lizie, thank you for this video, i wissh i saw this kind of video earlier :) i have a 9 month old and these months having a nice night sleep has not really happened for me...when she was younger she liked to snack alot, now she goes to bad at 10 and wakes up during the night like at 4-5 am to drink, and finally wakes up at 7:30 am...i wish in some way she would skeep the 4-5 am feeding but she gets very fussy and wont go to sleep...is it too late to start the method you used?

  • @23kleopatra not at all! definitely pick up the book...it will tell you what is appropriate for her age :) but just be prepared for a few rough nights at first as you try to train her to not eat at that time. once she accomplishes this, she may take in more food during the daytime :)

  • @retrodog65 thats fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and in my opinion Liz is an experienced mum of two kids, and if it works for her, then I am interested in finding out what it is all about.

  • @hannahclara88 - this book has been associated with failure to thrive, poor weight gain and dehydration. Pediatricians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, as well as most lactation consultants do not recommend this book. For more info Google "babywise danger"

  • @23kleopatra excuse my grammer is late at night and i didnt know i made so many mistakes lol...but anyways i have exclusively given her breastmilk in a bottle, because she got used to the bottle and does not accept the breast...so i stay late at night to pump because i would hate to wake up and do it at 4 am...if i let her cry it out, do you think it will take a couple of weeks till she gets used to it? plus i noticed that if i dont feed her at 4-5...she wakes up much earlier than 7:30 am

  • Totally agree with you! If you have a schedule---then even when the baby has a bad day and things get totally screwed up----you can get back on track because you have guidelines in place and you know what you are working towards!
