everyone. I think Ron Paul's point is...its unconstitutional. If it doesn't pass the constitution test, its a no go in my book. Pass an amendment giving the federal government unrestricted emergency management powers or abolish FEMA are the two options. The sad part is, so much of our federal government operations are not constitutional. An amendment would just be validating all the nonsense that has been going on since the early 1900's.

FEMA was a mess under "Heck Of A Job Brownie" Bush's unqualified crony...who had absolutely no experience for the position. That's why Katrina was a FEMA failure...not because FEMA is an "intollerable evil" but because it was mismanaged by people who didn't know what they were doing. FEMA was overhauled after that debacle and has since done a great job as far as I am aware of providing disaster relief to those in need.
