This is a simple light weight stove made of two cans. Perfect for hikers. It weighs in at 5oz and the fan is 5 1/2 ozs. It burns small twigs cut into 1 inch lengths. With the fan on, a cupful of wood will burn for 8 minutes but boil 2 cups of water under 6 minutes. For longer burn times, feed wood through exhaust holes. Changing the position of the fan controls the flame intensity. With the fan off, it will burn efficiently for 18 minutes and boil 2 cups of water under 10 minutes. The batteries on the fan last 72 hours. The stove will still function without the fan. I recommend Charcoal fluid for startup fuel. 1 teaspoon of fuel will give an instant lightup and a full flame in 3 minutes. 10 ozs of fuel will light this stove 60 times.

  • Looks like you're going to overdo your dinner on that thing

  • @TimpBizkit , Thanks for your comment. By simply turning off the fan, the flames gets smaller and the wood lasts longer for normal cooking. I like the high flames to sterilize a gallon of water under 10 minutes.

  • Hope you have a pair of thick gloves to remove the water from your bad azz stove. I like the fan idea.

  • @dannyoif , no need for gloves, I use a pot handle clamp.

  • hay great vid man stove to

can you tell me were i can get those fans and are they rechargeable or are they batt power

  • @pyroman675 The fan works on 2 AA batteries. You can still buy theses fans on Ebay, just do a search on ipod fan.

  • @welshprepper I had to go back but wow ... you are right. Maybe they were hoping for a bigger flame!

  • what kind of fan is that? I have been doing the same with my Rocket Stove, but still looking for the perfect fan. You really need it for Wok cooking.

  • And the Ipod said Let There Be Fire!!

  • This afterburner looks good for cooking my quiche on; very fine simmering control....

  • Also doubles as a flame thrower in a WROL

  • can you point me in the direction of some plans please?

  • How are you gonna take the it off if the water is hot and the flames are high? You burn yourself. Well idk since I haven't tried it but looks like it.
