  • I think "quantum jumps" in understanding (like Einstein's relativity) requires "breaking belief"....most scientists of his day would have thought "time-dilation is absurd"... believe, advances in fundamental physics have as much to do with "challenging belief" as it does "learning how to solve a calc problem"

  • I find even "challenge students in their belief systems" scary because a College/PHD should focus on teaching people scientific precision and methods and not a belief system.
