  • Yeah, I was at this gig. Mulligan a great arranger first and foremost and a fine player.

    As a young kid I witnessed the Flying Scotsman flat out heading north.This is truly great. Mulligan the Getz of the Baritone, just like Desmond the Getz of the alto.

    Check out the album where Getz and Mulligan swap instruments for one tune.

  • It seems hard to define a baritone melody as well as a tenor but Gerry made it sing and steal the show as well. It's sad that I hardly knew his music before he was gone. I miss him and so many that once graced his stage.
