Years ago (when I was a little girl) my father bought his first radio and I was excited. I was sitting right next to him and I heard things I never had heard before.
When he has found a music channel, the first song I heard was the Pearl Fishers and that song had a deep impact. I really don't know who the singers were, but it was beautiful.
When a friend from Russia told me that she like Amici Forever I thought I'll do the song Pearl Fishers and this is the result.

Au fond du temple saint... The first time I ever heard this was over 20 years ago when Thomas Hampson and Jerry Hadley performed it together as guests on 'Evening At Pops.' I thought it was the most beautiful operatic piece ever. It took forever, but I eventually found it on CD years ago. This version is just as beautiful and the video is priceless. Thanks for sharing this.

Wat ik al schreef, het was mijn eerste kennismaking met dit lied toen ik nog een heel jong meisje was en dat maakte een onuitwisbare indruk op me.
