remaking Red Dawn

Remember the 80s movie, Red Dawn, when the Soviet Union invades America? Well, the Soviet Union's history, so what's a Hollywood action movie director to do? I know, remake Red Dawn but have the Chinese invade instead! That's what's happening right now...shooting the movie, I mean. I happened to be in Detroit on November 13 and, right next to my hotel, they were filming a street battle between the Chinese military and...I don't know. The American Hero I assume. Anyway, I happened to get some of the action on video. There's soldiers rehearsing with and without gunfire, a spectacular explosion, and lots of smoke and noise. Check it out!

@meanshein Yes, they are a threat, that must not be underestimated or considered of no consequence. I just see a very large, but outdated and under equipped army, and tactics that would cause mass casualties on each side. I personally think that, major scale-back of US armed forces, more economic difficulties, a war in Pakistan and US default on national debt, Chinese-backed N Korean offensive to reclaim South K, followed by Chinese takeover of Taiwan to be more plausible. Then maybe invasion

I wager that this movie will be a tremendous flop. N Korea can't even feed their own people, which is why they are fleeing to China (funny, China has an Illegal immigration problem too!). That coupled with likely under par vehicles, uniforms, weapons, destruction (I understand that 2000lb bomb shatters all windows within .5 mile)= low quality. More likely, U.S. will crumble as an economic power, splinter, and be torn apart by internal strife before someone intervenes under the UN flag to "help".
