  • Rocksamy was one of Lanka's greatest music directors. I think he particularly excelled with J. A. Milton Perera and Sujatha Attanayake.. Thanks for sharing this informative video.

Do you have the full video of the song from Ase Idiripita (1975) sung by Milton Perera?

  • @HumanFrailtz Thanks for the lovely comment, Even the other singers like, Mohideen Baig (Saravana bawa)G S B Rani(Walakulak men)Latha Walpola (Sathuta soke)Dharmadasa Walpola (Kaliugakale Maalu natai Soda Bothale)Haroon Lantra(Veenavey Thathpela maa we)Indrani Wije bandara(Budusaminey)Victor Ratnayake (Aalaya kaatath Podu deyaki- Film Sumudu Bharya) H R Jothipala (Kiyannam Kathawak) M S Fernando(Obage Ruwa magemai) Just to name a few. All these melodies are originals.

  • @palithabatu Rocksamy Maestro also composed some great songs for Milton Mallawarachchi (among his best): "Madu Mala Lese Ma Priyadare", "Piyapath Sala"..

And add to that he was present at many of the major song recordings of his period. Significant works by Amaradeva, Victor, etc. Real talent!

  • @HumanFrailtz Yes " for Milton M Sihina mawe, Sithum Pathum Podi Adare, and for Godwin haanthis's "Kohoma Kiyannada" film Ada sanda Awa sanda wei. and more over for the first time Milton Sang an original Hindi song composed by the Maestro M K Rocksamy for the film Cyrill Mallie ("Eke Kali"). H R Jothipala dubbed the Sinhala version for the same film.

While Milton was working for Nawaloka Group at Peliyagoda, Rock composed Piyapath sala, which made Milton more popular.
