ive gotten to do that too! i live in florida 2 miles away from a part of the river and i have been able to pet several! i think they are such neat animals.

Nope.. it is attached to my seat and the seat is attached to the kayak. He would have to eat the whole kayak and since my butt was in the seat, I guess under your synopsis, he would eat me too and surely, he would die....
