Are you suggesting that goats can't discern between voices? Do you have scientific evidence to support that? Oh wait, who am I kidding? Who needs scientific evidence when you have magical sky fairies?

Yeah, and it was more than 2000 years ago, and bull shit. So, it will NOT make you sound smart.

How is having a car loan approved miraculous? It's called business.

@Conail23 Like all the people in his time (assuming he existed) calling him a glutton and drunk, having to ask him to explain all his parables cause they didn't make sense? And him getting "ministered" by women and carrying gold and contradicting himself, and breaking the Sabbath law, and then saying he was going to fulfill the law of the OT, then saying he feels like changing it. And then begging if he could skip the crucifixion, and all the misquoted OT prophecies, (endless list ...)

it just goes to far when it makes fun of Christ Himself.
Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. Ephesians 5:4

My NIV doesn't say anything about satire. There is a difference between satire and 'coarse joking'. Jesus, Paul and the prophets were full of satire which directly mocked the religious leaders who were full of themselves and/or greedy. Re-read the gospels.

If you can give some examples from scripture about the prophets, Jesus and Peter being jokers that would be great.
Making a joke out of something that should be taken seriously, does not solve the problem, but actually helps it, because when you joke about something then people won't pay it as much attention as they should. This will allow the problem or circumstance to continue, because no one takes it seriously.

I would be happy to give you examples. I wrote a graduate school paper on the use of satire in the bible, comparing it to Romans and Greek modes of literary satire. Email me and I will send you the paper.
I believe that faith that takes itself too seriously runs the risk of becoming fanaticism. Religion needs to be open to constructive criticism.
