  • buidseach right man, that thing was a turd when it came to speed. But if it could somehow navigate around the fighters it could accomplish it's objective well. I always wanted to know what it looks like inside the turret.

  • wouldnt stand a chance against enemy fighters

  • Doesn't the TBM-3 avenger able to carry the tiny Tim rocket that was made or something?

  • Modelers note! This paticular TBM is restored in pre-Fall 1944 color combos. Last weekend (May 2011) I saw a restored TBM3 at an air show in Illinois. It was put into service in March 1945. According to the owner, this plane left the factory painted in Sea Foam Green (dark blue). All markings and numbers were mono-tone, painted with stencil, in white only against the Sea Foam. Wheel wells, bottom of the wings and belly were also Sea Foam (no gray). They had pic of their TBM taken in 1945! Thanx
