Signature Sound - Calvary Answers For Me

Signature Sound had the cut on this, but the Perry's singled it and had the hit before SSQ had the opportunity to release it. I like this version of the song much better than the Perry's.

This is from their very first live DVD, shot at Reardon Auditorium (the same place they filmed their first Gaither DVD) a few months after the group formation.

The group at this time consisted of Ernie Haase, Shane Dunlap, Doug Anderson, Tim Duncan, and Garry Jones. This DVD is no longer made or sold and is VERY rare.

This was recorded in 2003, the first year that Signature Sound was together. The piano player is Garry Jones, who co-founded the group with Ernie Haase, and Shane Dunlap is singing lead. Both Garry and Shane left the group at the end of '03.

This is an awesome song regardless of who sings it because the WORDs of the song are our story of grace. Now with that out of the way I have a "but" to input here. The other part of this is the way the song is put across. I can connect with the Perry's mainly because of their WORSHIP. That my friends is what seperates good and great from true and honest. Anyone can have a song and dance routine, hollywood has proved that.

The Perrys chop the arrangement around too much and you dont get a chance to hear the power of the message.......Signature Sounds version flows far better and is far more tuneful, clear and harmonious...........

This is a good version, I still don't think anyone does it better than the Perry's ... I am not a huge fan of Ernie Haase, but they do it ok ... Awesome message though, I get a little emotional listening to it no matter who is singing ... Thanks for posting

Hey man, do you know of any way to get this DVD? I have every one of their cd's and dvd's. I was even at a couple of their recording concerts, and I have always wanted this dvd. Basically for this song...any ideas?
