i coudnt do it-here in the US, if a vehicle is a licensed ambulance, it has lights and sirens, and any licensed EMT has the right to use them when he deems necessary. even the ambulance services with no emergency contracts, who only do medical transfers.
-
@wakeoforion999 Well, St John are only Primary Emergency Services in NT and WA, everywhere else they provide Auxillary Ambulance services, and first aid services, therefore, victorian government cant warrant the need for sirens... in a way i agree, but, god they'd help in the few times we do respond to large emergencies..
-
good god thats ridiculous! im an EMT in the US, and i couldnt imagine emergency vehicles having their sirens or lights removed...then they arent emergency vehicles! people rely on them! thats so fucked up...i would quit.
-
Yeah i doubt it.. I regularly do events in Vic! I love it there!!
But yeah in ACT we used to have no lights because we only had one vehicle, But now with 2 more they all have red and blue.
-
Oh really? that would have only been recent hey? down here in Vic, there is talk about us getting out blues back, and even our sirens.. whether it happens or not, is another question.
-
Also FYI St John ACT actually have Red and Blue lights on their vehicles. :)
