  • Hello,

My parents and I used to live in Canowindra, so I made many trips to Cowra in my time there. I think I may have made one visti to the JWC when I was young, and my mum showed me where the POW camp was.

Dad was in the R.S.L. (he was an aircraft engineer in Korea).

G'Day, Your message is very interesting due to my family connections with the area.

And particularly as you say yopur father worked as an aircraft engineer in Korea. My uncle also was there as a Sargent working on the aircraft. So much so I have print No 1986 (of 500) of "the RAAF's Operation over north Korea 1950" this print signed by the pilots of trhe palnes in the print. He also was in other areas with 77Sqn.

  • i live in cowra near the war cemetry. all my friends are scared to sleepover beacause they think there is ghosts in my house. but nothing werid had happened in the 5 years i have been living here. the cemetry is really interesting to explore adn discover new things about the breakout. we even went on a history excursion to the cemetry this year for yr 8 history. everyone was freaked out but i took in it my stride. thanx for posting this video.
