What exactly is Pony dom since you seem to know that much if your posting these videos I have a couple friends that are into it and brag about how well their ponys are doing and etc. I have always been curious on what exactly is behind it mentally when preforming it?

Is it all about teaching control or is it more of a relaxing way to spend time with somone you care for ?

  • @DJKrypticZ

"What is behind it mentally when performing Pony Play?"

The answer depends on the individual human Pony. Some human Ponies drift off into emulating a pony and get into a mentality of becoming a "pony", we call this "pony head space". Some human Ponies remain totally human, while submitting to their Trainer/Top to be a Pony. This difference makes for what is happening on the outside looking the same, and what is happening mentally for each Pony vastly different.

"Is it all about teaching control or is it more of a relaxing way to spend time with someone you care for?"

It depends on the type of Pony Play you are engaged in. Dressage, Hunter/jumper, Long Lining, these types of Pony Play activities are about discipline, control, perfection of dance as a Pony.

One hopes it is always fun for the Pony and Trainer, that is the point, after all is said and done.

Cart Play, or simply being taken out on rein is very relaxing for me.

  • First off, I was neither rude nor belligerent in my comment. I simply asked how does that work out. I am very culturally diverse and have a great understanding and respect for different customs, but this is unlike anything I have ever seen. Its about submission and dominance, clearly mental states of mind. If it was typical "fun" how does intimacy play a part in it? Also how does someone dressing up like a horse and being talked/viewed as a horse supportive?

  • @VMShowYay

i apologize, i read your words with a different inflection.

This is a beginning for a discussion that would take more than 500 characters to type.

There are essays on the home page of my site, perhaps you'd like to read.

  • So your supposed to tell me, these people, both "horse" and trainer are mentally stable? Nothing crazy about them?

And yet we lock people up for self defense because they are deemed "mentally disturbed"

    How does that work out?

  • @VMShowYay

This Pony and Trainer are sharing a good deal of fun, they are experiencing a discipline and are part of an event that was positive and supportive while being competitive.

    They are very balanced people.

Given the negativity of your comment, i'd say they are happier then you, also.

  • who is the purple pony?

  • im proud to be a pony boy. i love my owner very much

  • I love how she really understands and feels how a horse moves, rather than just taking big steps like some people. I can tell she's in the mind of a horse ^^ They forgot to turn off at the three quarter line for that leg yield though. Still amazing <3

  • @VMShowYay I guess you would have to be involved with real horse (as are alot of pony play enthsiasts) to understand. Horseriding isn't ALL about dominance, it's a 50/50 relationship. The trainer has as much fun as someone competing of a real horse, they are the guide and support of the 'horse'. Remember, real horses are herd animals who can't even see you as you ride them in the open. It takes reassurance and assertiveness from the rider. I've been working with real horses for 5 years :)
