A new study by the University of Edinburgh(2010) has found more than 3,700 soldiers from the south of Ireland died on active service during WWII.
Their names join those of almost 3,600 fallen combatants from Northern Ireland on a roll of honour being unveiled at Trinity College Dublin on Friday.
The study estimates that in the British army alone, as many as 100,000 people from the island of Ireland served in WWII, despite the Irish Free State's neutrality in the conflict

The video won't tell you that more people from the Irish Republic died in ww2 fighting for Britain than those from Ulster. Most loyalists stayed at home to work in the war industries and profiteer from the war.

@rayredditch... In the centre section, 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) to the north, the 36th (Ulster) Division and 16th (Irish) Division advanced in tandem, the Irish capturing the village of Wytschaete and pushing forward to secure their objectives.[

There were practically no Catholics in the North untill the second world war, most were in the South as the land had been divided in 1926.
The South had the German Legation, and refuelled U-Boats and provided them with intelligence, against the allies, while pretending to be neutral. All the men in the North went to fight for the allies, and the Southeners flocked over the border to take the jobs. Since then they bred like rabbits, and Europe will have the same problem with Muslims. Just time.
