Mozart had a pet starling, so I taught this to Poppy. It took him a bit longer to learn than Dixie, maybe Poppy is a redneck bird!

Poppy is a wild starling that fell out of his nest when he was a baby at the airport. A flight attendant came along and rescued him.

Poppy loves insects and veggies.

He is a really sweet, smart and funny bird. See his other videos, especially Poppy whistling dixie, mozart, talking, taking a bath, ect. Poppy is almost 5 years old.
You can read his whole story on poppythebird.com and
can email him and download his kindle/iphone book at www.amazon.com/dp/B001UV3POQ

  • How cute is that- a bird that likes Mozart! :)

  • Thanks!

Poppy is still learning the second part...but he is getting there! :) Go Poppy!

  • Thanks Maisie and Indy! Black Birds Rule!:)

  • Wonderful - 5 stars for your star. Maybe I should try and get Wiley to do Tequila and put that up (he shouts out Tequila in a mexican accent at the end), I don't have a recorder at the moment though. Love and light - the Tasmania gang of ummmmmmmm (counting) 7 starlings, blackbird and sparrow - currently xxxx

  • Tequila! That would be cute! I need to think what to teach Poppy next! Poppy says Whatcha doing? To the whole Tassie Gang! (Especially Jack of Hearts!)

  • Mozart actually had a pet starling that helped him compose music. Many Classical musicians and Real Singers were influenced by birds, the original musicians.

  • the crows are losing sleep over this...

    the mynas not so much...

  • *wild applause* - from Maisie and Indy :D

  • That bird is talented! Cant believe he was just an abandoned wild bird.
