I searched all over internet but couldn't find anything like this side by side comparison so I decided to upload a video for those who are interested in these items. Despite not finding comparative pictures or videos, I went ahead and bought the 200mm f2L and I am glad the size is very compact for what it is (Note: your wrist will tell you this lens is heavy though, so don't be fooled by the size alone). Of course super super sharp, even sharper than the 70-200 f2.8 Mk II zoom which is already a sharp sharp lens...both are incredible even wide open. The 100mm Macro is also ultra sharp...I can't say enough about these lenses. If you really love the sharpness of the 70-200mm f4 zoom, but want a bigger aperture, look no further...all these 3 lenses matches and exceeds it in terms of sharpness, color, speed, etc.

Moving from 40D to 7D is a huge upgrade as well. Great auto WB, accurate auto focus with 19 cross type...it's a dream. Yeah considered 5d mark II, but it pales in terms of new feature technology when compared to 7d. Will hold for 5d MK III, for my full frame body. Video quality is great too...unearthly especially when paired with macro lens...all the minute details in full 1080p. Manual focusing requires practice though...as you can see, I am not great with it yet...will continue to practice.

  • because you have both...is it still worth holding on to your 70-200 when you have the 200 f2? want to know...thanks!

  • @andrewiscrosseyed : I keep both because I love the superb quality of the 200mm f2's result wide open and use it whenever situation permits; however the flexibility of the zoom cannot be discounted, not to mention the sharpness it provides. So it all depends on your usage. If you feel you can live with fixed 200mm then i guess you can keep just the prime, but if you are like me and want to pack light, or just feel lazy to move sometimes, the zoom can be a lifesaver on those days ^_^

  • do u live in ascot or mil ride?

  • @boilevestan ; I am in a small town in Kentucky. I just searched ascot on google and it seems like that's in California, so I think I am quite a long distance away from that place you mentioned.

  • All telephoto on a 1.6 crop. The perverts kit bag lol.

  • Mind shipping some to me in Australia for free? ;) Thanks haha jokes. Nice glass you got there.. makes me so jealous actually

  • What exactly was the point of this, apart from the already mentioned "How cool do I think I am" factor? Try USING your equipment next time, and you won't get so many dislikes.

  • Despite your long winded "info section"... we all know you just want to show off all your gear.
