My bestfriend showed me this song .. i thank her for that . my mom might of not had breast cancer , but she had cervical cancer , all i wanted was my mommy to live , and she fought like a girl and survived . Cancer free for 3 years now !!!

Love this song, my mom lost her battle with cancer years ago... I was just a young child... I wish she was still here, but I can hear her saying the words in the chorus at the end. Man did she give that cancer hell, and she fought with all she had in her, the cancer may have won unfortunately, but she sure "fought like a girl"!

I am 13 and I had Lukemia for 3 years (ages 6months-3years). I am currently a healthy survivor, and its unbelievable. My bestfriend was diagnosed with it 2 years ago, and died within 8 months. I would sing this song to her many times. Even though she didnt survive, she still fought like the Carolina girls we are <3

I'm 14 years old and come from 3 generations of cancer fighters on both my mum and dads sides, i know that i'm one of the most likely candidates for this disease and probably will have to fight it one day. i'm terrified, but i'm gonna fight if the time comes. my thoughts and hopes go out to people who know they'll get it eventually and those fighting this battle right now.

@dandetahoe you're wife was a brave woman, just like all the men, women and children who fight this disease every day. it dosen't matter if she lost the battle, she still choose to fight it.

In July *O9, I was diagnosed with cancer. I listened to this song, over and over, and even when I struggled, I kept fighting. I'm cancer-free *knock on wood* now.. but this song helped me through the struggles. Love it!

boy/men always think there better than us and they do more and they are stronger than us. look what us girls have done we come together to fight all kinds of cancer we stick together through tuff times were all like a family in our own way boys/men cant beat that so lets all stand and be srong and never give up and fight like a girl!!
