I just finished this book or a class the other day. In my honest opinion...it's awful. I feel like contemporary fiction has focused so much on theme and symbolism that it has forget to be entertaining, poetic and interesting. The beauty is lost. It's boring now. That's just my humble opinion.
It was amazing to know his grandmother's story. As an aside, Andrew has a voice as deep as his literary voice. It was a trance-like pleasure listening to him.

Right now I'm reading The story of a Marriage and I really like it and I think Andrew Sean Greer is cute :-)
