  • It's got a decent sound for a twin. Anyway I barely had that a year and I dropped the gutless wonder for an 03 z1000 lol. More fun!

  • Hmm... Nice bike. I'm thinking about buying one, but I can't decide: GSF Bandit 400 or a GS 500. What do you think?

  • want mine? ill sell it to you. its a great bike. school just comes first.

  • thats a sick colour combo, im changing my mind and going with a full jardine exhuast

  • thanks i wanna get a V&H exhaust for it to make it sound even better

  • nice i bout one about 2weeks ago but mines a 2003 the only anoying part about the bike is that you have to turn the petrol on and off on the side of the bike i keep forgeting ;P

  • Ive got one ! and they are awesome to ride same colour

  • @hotrodstu77 youre so manly with your liter bike

  • reminds me of the gladius.

  • I'm thinking of buying a motorcycling school and a GS500 comes with it.....Sounds like a good bike for learners... I own a BMW R65 and 4 C.Z.'s Jap bikes are good but a bit soul-less.......

  • I hear you with the "gutless wonder", but I think I will practice the cornering and slow speed manouvers more with it before I upgrade...looking at the Suzuki GSX1250FA...miles of torque...also a little taller saddle...

  • @patchpratch

That's what I did, Huge difference in performance with the V&H, and the bike doesnt sound like a sewing machine on steroids anymore.

  • nice bike but it dont sound anything like a vtwin..get yourself a vance n hines pipe and not only will it sound super cool but it will have more hp..

  • I always loved the GS 500 since I saw the first one in my life back in 1997.

    Really thinking of getting one.

    Thx for the review! :)
