HP 550 Notebook PC running Windows Vista Home Basic

This is my laptop running Windows Vista. I'm using it for everything. So this is the laptop I'm recording Virtual Machines, editing movies and a lot more. It came with 1 GB RAM but last year I upgraded the RAM to 3 GB. It's running a lot faster since I switched the antivirus software from Avira Antivir Personal to Microsoft Security Essentials. So far, Windows Vista runs awesome on this notebook. I'm planning to put Windows 7 on this thing later.

i have the same thing mine has 4 gigs of ram butt a 1.800 proseser.

@Graystripe42 Cool! Is the 1.800 processor a core 2 duo? If yes, you maybe have a x64 bit. I really want a better processor, like the core 2 duo or AMD 64 x2. Mine came with 1 GB, but I upgarded it to 3 GB because it was running so slow.

i have one too but i cant stay with the Celeron so i upgraded it to c2d. still working with some problems. anyway try to install windows 7 it's very good with the modded video drivers for this laptop.

@freelove502 The Celeron works pretty nice on this thing, but I really want to upgrade to a better one, like c2d or AMD 64 x2 because it's a bit slow.
