It doesn't matter if you are democrat or republican. Neither side is noble and neither party has all the answers.
The only way to help this country is if we compromise and work together. This country was founded by very wise men, federalists and anti-federalists. Yet somehow these two groups were able to put aside their concerns, fears and differences and work towards a goal that that benefited the people, the Americans.

have you seen the third episode of "the newsroom? In it will mcavoy explain how in the 60's the democrats had their own "crazies" just like the republicains with the teaparty. The big difference is that democrats have never let those people be elected as official representatives for the sake of their own party and values. But the republicains have put the tea party right front center and today we dont have a republicain party anymore

Emily, I love you, but McKenzie is no Beatrice. If anything, she's the anti-Beatrice, as she cannot seem to complete a thought when challenged to do so. And that's what I love about her.

yet, the one episode that really was so powerful is the one that is not available lol! Wonder who out there made that decision? Good one! all those involved in this show, from the fantastic writing to the incredible acting of all the actors, especially Jeff Daniels who seems to have been born to portray WIll McAvoy.I find it completely ironic that the character of Will could have been fashioned after the only real news anchors on TV: John Stewart and Stephen Colbert. This coming from a Canadian!

I find it extremely interesting that the one episode that everyone is commenting on here, is the one episode that is NOT available through my HBO "on demand" channel.. the one about the Tea Party??!! And I thought that there was real courage surrounding this show and its frankness regarding the state of America. The opening sequence of this series still takes my breath away with its unadulterated power and honesty. Good for them (being Aaron Sorkin and company) for having the guts to out this on

Yes. But I reject the caricature of the Tea Party presented in the third episode. The 60s democrats radicals ("crazies") are more in line with the "Occupy Wall Street" mobs of today, not the Tea Party. The Tea Party, as presented, is hard left "Media Matters / Think Progress / Daily Kos / Huffington Post / MSNBC" view of the Tea Party. Will we see episodes denigrating how the Democrat part has been taken over by the hard left and has been electing them to Congress? I think not.

Of course, Sorkin wouldn't question the radical left...'cause there's nooooooooothing wrong (wink, wink, wink) with the radical left. And that little smirk he did just there, when he was talking about "the shouters", I'm sure he wasn't talking about Chris Matthews who neeeeeeeeeeeever shouts down his guests...ever (wink, wink, wink). That's ok. I dig Sorkin's writing and I'll watch anyway.

A show about the Media...
In real life, when The Newsroom was reviewed it was given terrible reviews- Reason? It was reviewed by the media. How fitting...
This was the greatest pilot I've seen in the past decade.
Fantastic.Nothing less.
