I say "typical" only because a lot of espresso/cappuccinos served this way. I'd say it's still a lot better than what you get in the states, but I haven't found "the" espresso shot that I've fallen in love with yet in Italy. Notice the pretty modern Rancilio the shots are pulled on.
what do u mean by this way? arent caps made like this? Unless of course like those cafes who dont know how to prepare one.
