....im assuming that when you say 9th fret, you're disregarding the capo?

whatever sounds right dude....learn to play by ear its the most important thing ever, but yeah when people use capos it goes back to zero it makes it easier to explain

the tuning is normal except the high E string is tuned to D @JonoJensen

Awesome tutorial thanks. But at the end when he sings ..."open arms", it should be an F chord on "open" and an Em chord on "arms". (The F chord is the same formation as the C chord used throughout but with the pinky, ring and middle fingers moved down one string. The index finger stays on the B string)
