A section of I-69 north of I-94 buckled Wednesday afternoon, causing traffic to come to a crawl and move over to the shoulder.

It's amazing and fortunate no one was hurt, said officials from both the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department.

  • Concrete sucks. All roads should be full depth asphalt. Smoother, quieter, less expensive, lasts as long, easier to maintain, does not blow up.

  • I don't really think it was the heat, it was warm but it wasn't even 100 degrees . It's just very strange that it was the only spot anywhere in Michigan that this happened. It get's this warm every summer
