the real Bactrians are moved from that area under presure of Altic People.The real bactrian language is removed by Persians and later by altic people. So in our days they are mostly Altic and they speaks a persian dialect and call themselfs Tadjiks.

according to Prof. Peter Dobrev the only people of this area who are not mingled with Altic people and partialy saved thier language are another iranic people who live in south Afghanistan.
