As I look into your eyes, I'm feeling quite perplexed,

Can you not realize the things you've done.. I cannot accept?

You took my heart and my mind and tore them to shreds,

Now I am restless while I lie in this bed,

Breathlessly in love, I thought you were my destiny,

I can give you no empathy, as it wasn't me but rather you, who was the enemy.

I'm not saying it is, I'm atheist and I believe in science. I was just trying to make a point of how much it pissed me off when the hardcore christians say stuff like "jesus is lord" and all that.

Science isn't a faith system. I don't understand how it can be shoved up anyone's ass.

Oh on another note, for those religious people who commented stuff about how jesus is lord and all that jazz. Please stop trying to shove your religion down my throat. Imagine me cramming a ton of science in your ass. How does that feel? Not too good huh? Exactly.

Seems as though some of you have taken this song to a literal meaning but I'm taking this in a metaphorical way. The enemy is in my head and I need to defeat it to have a small sliver of joy. Each fight gets harder and harder every time something goes wrong, I listen to this song because it makes me feel less alone to know that there might be someone out there who understands what I imagine this meaning is. Just my opinion.

Artists are employed to make music for a production, that doesn't mean they hold rights to it. If you would, could you provide some examples of artists featuring music they have created for movies in albums they've released? And by this I mean, not a movie using music from the artists released album, I'm talking about a music artist who has released some music specifically created for said movie, and then released it onto a separate album.

I doubt that was the main reason. Usually artists still retain some rights to their own songs even if they are commissioned for movies. There are countless examples of songs on soundtracks and the artists own album. I think many that don't use one is that it isn't part of the theme of their album.
