I just became interested in this whole topic today. I read through the Sea Shepherd website. Watched interviews. Lastly I have watched this video. I am in the US Navy and I am a master helmsman. It is very apparent that black vessel (Ady Gil) accelerated into the path of the larger vessel. In an interview with the captain and builder he indicated he was ordered to scuttle the boat (sink it himself). I am disappointed that this organization isn't what it initially appeared to be.

We eat only a few whale which increased too much so that you may kill and eat a cow and a pig. We observe the rule of IWC and are doing research whaling.Whaling has no problem. I admire what the Sea Shepherd Organization tries to do as far as stopping whaling, but the tactics that they use, the reckless manner in which they carry them out, their lies and complete lack of integrity unfortunately only serve to hurt the cause. Especially when you're involved in a cause such as this, you've got to have integrity and Paul Watson has none. He'll do anything, saying anything and in the process ultimately makes all of us who would like to see an end to whaling look bad.

Really? Look I don't like whaling, but I'm no fan of this organization and their tactics. Where you're seeing the Ady Gil accelerating, I have no idea and can't imagine what their motivation would be for destroying their own boat and risking their lives. What I clearly see from the videos is the Japanese boat turning right into the Ady Gil. Like I said, I don't care for the tactics of this organization, but the Japanese boat seems clearly at fault here for making a turn right into their boat.

As for this comment i couldnt agree more, its wrong what they are doing, sea shepherd have footage of them harpooning a whale and it taking 25 mins of struggling for it to eventually die, they are endangering a speciese and doing it in an inhumane way and it needs to be banned all together
