  • i like his songs, but i dont understand how this is "live". at least someone like dorian concept actually plays his songs while tweaking parameters instead of pressing buttons with assigned melodies on queue... or is he just playing his recordings and pretending to press stuff?

  • @jjaycallejas he manually controls filters and i think thats it. Theres a chance he manually triggers each item in the sequence but that seems unlikely. Its not any less live than a pop band who sing to a backing track or lipsync I suppose.

  • He needs to bring back this kind of music, not the hippie shit hes making now. :(

  • @jjaycallejas kinda like a britney spears performance

  • Chiptune music <3.<3

  • Hahaha what a great crowd

  • This is THE best version of the song because the opening just makes you wanna cum in your pants

  • After having watched him play over his shoulder at a tiny SXSW show, I've seen that he has the bare bones of the song running off of his mac book and he then plays the keyboard, a sample pad, and then he twists knobs (I didn't really know what that did).

  • @jjaycallejas Well difference between this and a backing track is that most of it is at least generated live sequenced yes, but generated and manipulated live, as opposed to recorded and played backed which is different of course. 20 years ago Adamski was doing the exact same thing, just no Apple but did play keyboard over the top. Lionhat is still a talented musician, those melodies dont compose themselves..

  • @jjaycallejas What the meemawuk said is half right. He controls filters and other additive effects. He almost most probably uses Ableton Live for his performance and has a APC40 to perform live with it. He can control which melody plays and for how long and when he wants to add another sound to the song. All melodies are seperate loops ready to play at his command.

  • this music is like rave haven

  • sounds like the keygen generator music
