i bet you its the spark gap on the electrodes.
possible causes are, incorect burner pressure, gas valve solanoid letting by, burner/injecrors need cleaning, blocked heat exchanger or fault with the flue

@kenneykole you realy shouldnt comment on things you no nothing about, a fsp wouldnt cause this, giving people information like this is dangerous! if you dont no, get a gas safe registered engineer!!!

@ksheba ok sorry it took awhile to answer We took out the gas port and cleaned the holes put it back in and it worked it is now jan2011 and is still good NO BOOM we also had to do the same thing with our pool heater because it kept shutting off the circuit bracker just CLEAN THE GAS PORTS and your GOOD

Check the chimney for thorough venting. Gas pressure may be a bit high. Since when does a flame sensor cause delayed ignition? The flame sensor being dirty would cause a steady flame to go out for know apparent reason. Check your stack!

haha, on the normal Ignition part, while I was watching, after the flame goes and hear oooosh, it scared in a little.
