I see ye courtmac people cant even spell decided right! If a whale washed up in Glengariff does Bantry get to keep it coz its in Bantry Bay. Calm down dicks, ye v no right to it! Maybe if it washed up in the summer when the other 80% of the population of Courtmac were there ye d v put up a better fight! Ye r welcome to come and see it when its on display though!

It may have been in kilbrittain "parish". The boundaries of parishes were desided by the church. Remove these boudaries and then the only deciding factor is proximity to villages.
The whale was in courtmac bay and closer to the village.
Why does kilbrittain want it anyway. It would seem better in a fishing village than a landlocked one.

if ur standing on a beach and the tide goes out and u walk out towards the tide, ur still on the same beach...yes?
So then, when the tide went out, in " courtmacsherry bay" the access to the whale was from Burren strand , i.e the kilbrittain side. same as if the tide goes out in harbour view or garretstown and u walk out with it ur still in harbour view or garretstown etc..
