Hey Gayle it's Liz from Michigan Dr. Brown's Bottles are the BEST! And I did just fine without a changing table. You'll find that anything will become your changing table if you have burping clothes, receiving blankets and such to use as a platform. I did just fine with no changing table. Onsies, receiving blankets. Don't register any clothes, you'll get hand me downs and buy your own. Huggies are the best!!! And buy your diapers and wipes from Sam's or Costco. Love ya hun! xo

THere is a book you can get called "Baby Bargains" where they test things and give good details about what they recommend. Great book..I felt better about buying my crib knowing that the company didn't have too many recalls. I wouldn't buy too many toys because newborns don't even care about toys. My baby didn't play with her toys until she was 9 months..and didn't really play with them until after a year.
If anything believe me on the Dr. Browns bottles! Best ever! let me know if ?'s.

I would get a tub and find a baby soap that you like the scent. Basically all baby soaps are the same. I suggest you use regular good lotion and not baby lotion. My MD told me that baby lotion actually dries out baby skin due to lots of alcohol in them. I would get a swing or a bouncy seat..my baby prefered the bouncy seat and didn't really like the swing. I would only get a pack n play if you want a play pin or go away and need a travel crib. I didn't even use mine until baby was over 1.

I would get one or two just to try them out probably a soothie (the hospital will probably give you one) and maybe one more. I would get plenty of burp cloths because babies spit up tons! I got cloth diapers to use as burp cloths cause they work well. For diapers I liked Pampers best for a newborn because they are so soft. Overall I prefer Pampers or Huggies (the costco brand is basically a huggies and luvs are basically a less good pampers). wipes I love the huggies cucumber kind.

So my baby is 18 months old and I like to think I found the best products out there..As far as bottles go I would use Dr. Browns and nothing else. I hated everything else because they gave my baby such bad gas! Dr. Browns have a special insert that makes the air go away..best ever!
Are you planning to nurse? I loved nursing and recommend it if you can. I would get a boppy for sure and a glider rocker. Lansinoh nipple cream is great. My baby wouldn't take a paci so I wouldn't get too many

Oh, also. You can register at WalMart or where ever. Just put your registry number and a link inside the baby shower invitation. I'm a day care provider and have 3 kids of my own and could go on for days about things ppl will tell you that you need when you really dont..and things that you cant go without. if you'd like to chat email me on here. Congrats and good luck!!

A swing. Seriously - it's a life saver. Don't buy a bunch of bottle and binkies bcuz they pick which kind they like.

Thrift store buys are awesome!!!

Breast feeding is best! But if you don't then yes, with bottles and milk.
The stroller does not really matter if it is a boy or a girl. They have some pretty fancy ones that also doubles as a carrier and a car seat.
Don't forget blankets and diapers!!

You are so welcome hun! You deserve all the happiness in the world. :)
Hey Mama, Huggies all the way! they r a bit more money but there would be less changing cuz they hold alot. Get Diapers, Diapers, Diapers from newborn to 6mo. Bags of Baby wipes and a diaper genie a must too. Evenflo bottles are really good too. And Bibs/burp cloths are mostly needed too. I hope that I was of help. I'm so happy for you!!! ~muah~ Daphne
