I'm quite done with laughing. I'm actually impressed with your improvisional engineering. Depending on what sheet metal material is available, I'd recommend using round duct (9" or 10"). You'd need a square/rectangular to round adapter at the top of the unit. After making the turn at the top of the wall with a 90 degree round elbow, attach a short (4-5 feet) piece of flexible aluminum duct to the elbow. Easiest and cheapest way to direct air flow.
