If he wants to sue the government for breach of contract then let him. He sacked loads of people because they were surplus to requirement ( in fact his nickname was Fred the Shred), now he should accept that he was a rubbish CEO.

Everyones anonymous, theres no culpability.
Its not a question of a public flogging, but whats fair is fair
And with Sir Fred Goodwin, the buck stops there.

Its not just Freds fault, if you look around,
Everyone is spending a borrowed pound,
But loosing 24bn on a wing and a prayer
Deserves no fat pension from the tax-payer

I bet Fred is enjoying his time in sunny Spain , knowing he has a life of Luxury ahead ,whilst millions of his own Countrymen will suffer, as a result of his and others greed. I am sure he will watch with great satisfaction as the Police and Army , all who will also suffer financially, are instructed to control the rage of many honest , hardworking people . He will have the added comfort of knowing that this rage will soon be diverted , by his good friends in the Media. Thanks Fred.
