In this clip Ney talks about a simple test to see if you really understand what a firm grip really is. A very firm grip is necessary for certain types of playing. Ney also answers some questions about the first two clips in the series.
Hi Ney, I bought your DVD and watched it twice already. I will probably watch it 100 more times. The one thing I am working harder on is the actual placement of my forearm and left hand when I am using various strokes. Should I rotate the radius and ulna together as an attack to the string or should I move my wrist side to side along with minimal forearm movement for placement? I am still working on trying to get comfortable with my hand not anchored, but mid-air suspend is still really tough.
